Engineering Manager at Meta · New York, NY
I'm an engineering manager in New York at Meta, where I lead the server migration moving Instagram onto Meta's server platform, due to finish by the end of 2026.
Before that, at Threads, I led product-heavy work on engagement and valuable production, and built the teams behind Threads on the web, its connection to the open social web, and its data-portability work. Earlier I owned Instagram's website, launched Instagram Direct on desktop, and — before Meta — worked at omNovia and DTS. I studied applied mathematics at UC Berkeley.
A few things I'm proud of:
- Drove Instagram code running on Meta's server platform from 63.7% to 86% in the first half of 2026, contributing to ~$23M a year in server-capacity savings
- Led Threads' engagement and valuable production — set the product strategy for both; valuable production beat its goal, hitting 95.7K daily against 85K
- Built Threads Web and led its Fediverse launch — the first Meta product to connect to the open social web; daily visits from search grew from 138K to 2.5M
- Built Instagram Direct on desktop: +10.1M monthly users, +57M messages a day
- Direct-report satisfaction of 90–100% across four teams; 5.0/5.0 feedback from my team
